The cat 730 crankshaft (313 3996) is the key rotating component inside the C11 engine, supporting continuous heavy-duty operation. It is a forged steel part designed to handle high torque and vibration, making it suitable for use in CAT construction machinery as well as generator sets.

1. Stronger core

We buy 42CrMoA forgings shaped to our own pattern, then machine them in our factory. The tighter grain beats cast iron for bending and impact resistance.

2. Smooth journals

Every pin and main is ground to ±0.005 mm roundness and 0.4 µm Ra, so bearings seat first time and last longer.

3. Hard skin, tough heart

Induction hardening adds 3–5 mm of HRC 52–58 on the wear faces while the core stays ductile-no cracks after long shifts.

4. Cold-weather ready

Tested at –40 °C; power stays steady in Siberian winters.

5. Stock & custom

Common specs on the shelf within a week dispatch; non-stock journals or etched logos ready in under four weeks.

Every unit goes through multiple inspection stages: ultrasonic and magnetic testing for hidden flaws, hardness checks, and dynamic balancing. The balance test ensures the residual imbalance remains very low, so the engine runs with less vibration. For clients who need extra assurance, we can also provide third-party inspection reports.

The crankshafts are packed in either plywood or raw wood. Anti-rust oil is applied as standard, and protective plastic caps are added to prevent damage during transport. For long-distance shipping, especially sea freight, an butter coating is available. Normally, stock models are dispatched within a few days.
